It's been a while since I posted any sort of update, so here it is.
Wilds Forlorn has been put on a hold for some time now. There have been all sorts of delays for the CD release of We, the Damned, and I'm afraid it's going to take a while still before it will be available. Everything (the artwork, the music, including two exclusive bonus tracks) has been ready to be sent to the pressing plant for months now, but this is out of my hands, I'm afraid.
I haven't exactly stood still, musically, over the past two years, though. I'm currently involved in a doom/black metal band: Monuments
Monuments has been my main musical output for the past two years now. We've played five shows now and we're about to drop our first EP release. It was recorded in Studio Moskou, Utrecht on 1 December 2013, and mixed by Niels Riethorst, of AVEC Niels. I think he did a fantastic job. We are proud to announce that The December Sessions will be released on 7 February 2014, in a limited digipack format.
It will feature the following two tracks, one of which can already be listened to on Bandcamp:
Today, I received the following email in my inbox:
"The file (Wilds Forlorn - We, the Damned (2012).rar) violates the MediaFire Terms of Service. Due to it being distributed from your account, it has been removed. Also, a Strike has been placed against your account and can lead to a termination of service.
Check our policy violations page for more information.
Thank you for using MediaFire as your cloud based file sharing service provider.

Apparently, someone has issued a complaint to MediaFire about my uploading my own music. Please note that I would never ask for my music to be taken down from any online file sharing platform. If you have had one of your Wilds Forlorn links taken down, know that I had nothing to do with it. I have always condoned and supported the free spreading of my music and will continue to do so.
A second podcast is on the website as well, featuring an exclusive preview of the track 'This Too Shall Pass' in its entirety, which is one of the two bonus tracks that will appear on the CD version of We, the Damned, and which features a guest appearance by F. ter Welle, who also played the guitar solo in 'Traces':
Bellum Omnium Contra Omnes is now available on CD at Obscure Abhorrence Productions, at Barn Owl Productions, a small distro that is just getting started, and it's also available from the website of White Oak, a promising band of personal relatives of mine. They have just released their first demo, consisting of four brilliantly atmospheric, raw tracks.
The CDs will be available from me personally as well soon. I'll make an announcement on that in due time.
I have also recently been approached by Akaah Aren, who writes for the Italian webzine Darkthrone85.org, and asked if I'd be willing to do an interview. The English version of that interview can be found on her personal blog here.
Meanwhile, I have been working on the bonus tracks that will appear on the We, the Damned CD release.
Bandcamp allows each artist 200 free downloads to give away each month. Past that, the items are still available, but are automatically changed from free downloads into purchasable downloads. A few days ago, the number of free downloads I could give away on Bandcamp was exceeded. I had put up a message here, with an explanation and an alternative link to the album, but a few people might have missed it. I had already set the price to the minimum Bandcamp would allow, as a precautionary measure, so it was only €0.40, but still, I would like to make clear that I did not intend for anyone to have to pay for the album and have no intention of making money with Wilds Forlorn. I'd like to apologise to those who had to pay for the music. Today, Bandcamp bumped the free downloads back up to 200 again, so all albums are available for free again.
